Nick’s on Grand Now Open

There is so much growth happening in South San Francisco right now, and after our interview with Liza Normandy , South City’s mayor, we thought it would be fun to update you on some of the new spots in South City she mentioned during the interview…

Nick’s on Grand is now open and we are hearing great things about this vegan spot. In fact, we are planning a lunch there next week to see for ourselves. We can’t really vouch for the food at this point but we did pop in and take a look around⏤ and wow! The space is beautiful. With exposed brick and salvaged corrugated tin siding adorning the walls along with reclaimed wood furniture, it has a rustic elegance about it. And then the art!  Beautiful paintings of famous legendary musicians by  Isa Amalee are sprinkled throughout the restaurant. Her work is colorful and luminous and works so well in the space.

They also have a lovely outdoor patio that looks like a great little spot to have a drink and some appetizers after work. We’ll probably give you an update once we’ve actually tried the food but if the food is half as good as the decor then it’s a winner. If you’ve tried Nick’s on Grand be sure to let us know what you thought in the comments below!

‘Andiamo In Banca’ Italian Ristorante Coming Soon

So this is super exciting, the 100-year-old historic bank building located at the corner of Grand and Liden is being transformed into an Italian Restaurant⏤Andiamo in Banca (we go to the bank). We spoke with the owner, John Akkaya, and he says his restaurant will be opening by the end of this year. He gave us a little tour and we got a chance to walk inside the old bank vault which he says will offer a unique private dining experience. Guests will be able to speak with the chef about what they are in the mood for and then the chef will go to the kitchen and whip it up. Seems like it will be a great place to have intimate special occasion dinners or perfect for impressing those special clients.  The historic building is just beautiful but there’s a lot of work to be done in a short amount of time. We can’t wait to see the transformation!

Tapas Wine Bar Coming Soon

Cafe 382 on Grand Ave. is a family-friendly fast-casual restaurant serving locally sourced American comfort food. They are open for breakfast and lunch. The owners of Cafe 382 are taking over the neighboring storefront with a tapas wine bar. Cafe 382 offers amazing food so expect nothing less from the new spot. We can’t wait to check it out. Opening date TBD.

Luminous II Soft Opening

Luminous Day Spa is another Grand Ave. staple opening a second location. The first location is located near the 101 side of Grand Ave. and Luminous Day Spa II is on the opposite end of Grand Ave. located on the corner of Spruce and Grand. They’ve recently had their soft opening. It sounds like they have plans to expand their offerings and services at the new location. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more!

The San Francisco Bay Area market is constantly changing and it is good practice to check the value of your home each year. Most Bay Area homes are in high demand areas, and with the shortage of inventory over the past few years, your home can greatly change in value year-to-year. The house was perfect, the price was right, the offer was strong. It was our client’s first time bidding on a home and she got it! That’s right, unheard of in the Bay Area. Beginners luck? We think not. And after you read the whole story, we think you’ll agree that sometimes the stars align […] The post Cold Feet appeared first on Lisa Marroquin.

Your Quintessential San Francisco Waterfront Dining Experience. Yes, the restaurant may be filled with tourists but this isn’t one of those “tourist traps”. This place has seriously good seafood – the kind of place I bring my relatives when they’re visiting from out of town. I occasionally find myself eating here with co-workers and friends […] The post Fog Harbor Fish House appeared first on Lisa Marroquin.
