To get the summer vibes flowing, we thought we’d update our summer EVENTS list and share it with you so you can start marking your calendar. 6TH ANNUAL PINTS FOR PAWS®
Saturday, June 1, 2019

DRINK BEER. SAVE ANIMALS.
Sample craft beers, wine, and ciders from nearly 50 vendors at Berkeley Humane’s 6th annual Pints for Paw®. Voted Best Fundraising Event in the East Bay in 2018!


UNION STREET FESTIVAL

June 1 – 2, 2019 10-6
Union Street Festival assigns themes to 6 blocks from Gough to Fillmore (fashion, technology, local, craft, entertainment, and health & fitness). You’ll also find food plus craft beer and wine tasting pavilions. Free.


SF JAZZ FESTIVAL

June 11 – Sept 23, 2019
Attend more than 40 big-name shows during the San Francisco Jazz Festival at five venues in of SFs, Hayes Valley.

 

WEST COAST CRAFT
June 8 – 9, 2019
Shop from artists and designer craftsmen “inspired by the mood and aesthetics of the West Coast lifestyle” at West Coast Craft in the Festival Pavilion at Fort Mason Center. Free.


SUNDAY STREETS

June 9, 2019 11-4pm

San Francisco neighborhoods
Walk, bike, or roller skate on a city street when most cars are banned for Sunday Streets , which are held about once a month from March to October.


HAIGHT STREET FAIR

June 9, 2019
Find 200 vendors of food and hippie crafts, a kids’ area, and local bands at the Haight-Ashbury Street Fair on Haight between Ashbury and the park. Free.


SF DESIGN WEEK

June 20 – 28, 2019
San Francisco Bay Area
Attend 60 studio tours and 200 events during SF Design Week , with subjects that range from fashion and human-centered design to international architecture and tech inventions.

 

NORTH BEACH FESTIVAL
Saturday & Sunday, June 15 and 16, 2019
North Beach Festival features arts & crafts booths, food vendors, beer & wine gardens, entertainment, street painting, and a kids’ chalk area (cost) at Columbus & Grant Avenues. Free entry.


SF PRIDE PARADE and PARTY

June 29 – 30, 2019
Celebrate LGBT San Francisco Pride with performances at Civic Center Plaza both days, a giant Pride Parade Sunday at 10:30 a.m. on Market Street (from Beale to 8th), and a VIP Party Sunday 2 to 5 p.m. at City Hall.


STERN GROVE FESTIVAL

Fillmore District Billed as the largest free jazz festival on the West Coast, Fillmore Jazz Festival offers live music on multiple stages, arts and crafts, and gourmet food vendors on Fillmore Street from Jackson to Eddy.


CONCERTS IN THE PARK

Golden Gate Park Band plays a variety of music (classical, marches, opera, swing, and show tunes) at Spreckels Temple of Music in Golden Gate Park. Free.

STERN GROVE FESTIVAL

SF FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION
July 4, 2019
The city’s Fourth of July Celebration includes setting off 10,000 fireworks for 20 minutes from barges near Aquatic Park and Pier 39. Free.

Renegade Craft Fair has indie crafts, artisan food, and workshops in the Festival Pavilion at Fort Mason Center. Free.

Golden Gate Club, 135 Fisher Loop, San Francisco, CA
Taste lamb and BBQ cooked by six local chefs, and sample beer, wine, and spirits at San Francisco Lamb Jam , with butcher demonstrations and live music at Spark Social SF for age 21+.


SF AIDS WALK

July 14, 2019
Join 20,000 people rain or shine in the 10K AIDS Walk that begins in Sharon Meadow at Golden Gate Park and raises funds for local HIV programs and services. It has an opening ceremony and a post-walk concert.


SF FROZEN FILM FESTIVAL

July 17 – 21, 2019
San Francisco Frozen Film Festival shows cutting-edge films created by independent filmmakers, students, filmmakers of conscience, and artists from under-served communities at the Roxie Theater.

the SF MARATHON
July 28, 2019
The San Francisco Marathon begins Sunday on the Embarcadero, goes across the Golden Gate Bridge, and winds around the entire city. The weekend also has an ultra marathon, 5K, and two half marathons.

AMERICAN BACH SOLOISTS FESTIVAL
July 28 – August 11, 2019
Celebrate Baroque music and culture at the American Bach Soloists Festival , which offers concerts, classes, and lectures at San Francisco Conservatory of Music.


NIHONMACHI STREET FAIR

August 3 – 4, 2019
Nihonmachi Street Fair features Asian artisans, performers, and food, plus a muscle-car show and a children’s area in Japantown. Free.


JERRY DAY

August 4, 2019
Arrive early or buy a reserved seat for Jerry Day when the Excelsior District celebrates its native son Jerry Garcia, who was a founder of the band Grateful Dead, with music at Jerry Garcia Amphitheater. Free.
